Board & Committee Nomination Guidelines

All forms and affidavits must be accurately completed with all required information. Incomplete nomination forms will not be considered by the Nominating Committee of the CICSA Cooperative Credit Union Ltd (Credit Union).

As part of its Fit and Proper exercise, the Credit Union will carry out mandatory judgement searches on all nominees seeking election to the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and Credit Committee. The existence of any registered judgements would result in an automatic disqualification as a nominee.

All nominations are subject to the review by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) Fit and Proper criteria.

The intellectual property of the Credit Union, such as name, logo, slogan, documents, branches, or any other material that represents the Credit Union, must not be used by any nominee while canvassing. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in disqualification from the election process.

Nominators must be eligible to nominate other Credit Union members. Nominators and nominees should confirm with the Credit Union to satisfy themselves that they have been in good standing for at least 12 months.

The nominee’s Credit Union account(s) must also have a minimum balance of $1,000.
