Our Credit Union is seeking passionate, committed, and experienced members to join our Board of Directors and Committees. This is your opportunity to contribute to the purpose of our Credit Union, to improve members’ quality of life by providing easier access to financial services and to the growth and success of our community. Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be a member of the Credit Union in good standing as defined in our Rules, for at least 12 months.
  • Must be the age of at least 18 years.
  • Hold a minimum of $1,000 membership shares.
  • Previous experience in finance, management, or community service is a plus.
  • Commitment to attend regular meetings and contribute time to Credit Union activities.
  • If elected, you will be subject to review by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority against their fit and proper criteria.

How to Nominate

Step 1: Review Nomination Criteria

Please ensure the nominee meets the eligibility requirements before submitting your nomination. See Nomination Guidelines.

Step 2: Complete the Online Nomination Form

Fill out the online Nomination Form. Be sure to include all necessary details and supporting documentation.

Step 3: Submit Your Nomination

Submit the completed form via the online application portal. Submissions via email, mail or hand delivery will NOT be accepted at this time.

Deadline

All nominations for our 2024 Board of Directors and Volunteer Elections must be received by 5:00 pm on 9 September 2024.

Please ensure all documentation is completed in full prior to submission. Incomplete forms will not be considered by the Nominating Committee.

Next Steps

Nominees are elected by their fellow Credit Union members at the next Annual General Meeting in November 2024.

Q: What is the time commitment to serve?
A: Board members typically meet at least monthly, with additional time for sub-committee work and extraordinary meetings. Credit Committee meets at least weekly and the Supervisory Committee meets at least quarterly.

Q: Do I need prior experience?
A: While experience is preferred, we value dedication, community spirit, and a willingness to learn.

Q: Can Non-Credit Union members nominate candidates?
A: No, only CICSA Credit Union members can nominate another CICSA Credit Union member, with their consent.

Q: Once I begin the nomination form, can I return to the form?
A: Yes, you can return to the form prior to final submission by entering your login credentials used to access the onine application form. However, you will not be allowed to make changes once the form has been submitted.
