Branch Reopening After All-Clear

Following the recent all-clear issued by the Cayman Islands Government, all CICSA Credit Union branch offices will reopen to the public Friday, 5 July 2024 at 9:00 am. Additionally, our CUonline and ATM services have been fully restored and are now accessible for your convenience.

As we resume normal business operations, the safety and well-being of our members and staff remain our top priority. We will continue to follow all necessary safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for everyone.

Managing Your Emergency Cash

As this year is predicted to be an active hurricane season, taking proactive steps to ensure your financial stability is crucial to protect you and your loved ones. Consider the following recommendations for managing your emergency cash:

• Put cash aside: In the event of a hurricane, access to our CUonline and ATMs may be limited due to power outages or network disruptions. Having a cash reserve can provide immediate funds for essential items like food, water, fuel, and temporary lodging. Aim to set aside enough cash to cover at least a few days' worth of expenses for your household.
• Store cash securely: Keep your emergency cash in a secure, waterproof, and easily accessible location.
• Keep smaller denominations on hand: Smaller bills can be more convenient and useful, especially if businesses are unable to provide change during an emergency.
• Redeposit unused cash to maximise savings: After the emergency has passed and normal services are restored, redeposit any remaining cash back into your Credit Union account(s). This helps maintain the security of your funds, reduces the risk of loss or theft, and allows your money to continue earning interest or benefits associated with your account.
